Method

Prepare Bruschetta Topping

  1. 1

    Chop Tomatoes

Dice the Roma tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Add Basil

Chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

  3. 3

    Prepare Mozzarella

Cut the fresh mozzarella cheese into small cubes and add to the tomato and basil mixture.

  4. 4

    Season Mixture

Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the mixture, then sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Gently toss to combine.

  5. 5

    Set Aside

Let the bruschetta topping sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Prepare Baguette

  1. 6

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 7

    Slice Baguette

Cut the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices diagonally.

  3. 8

    Brush Slices

Place the slices on a baking sheet and brush one side of each slice with olive oil.

  4. 9

    Toast Baguette

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and toast the slices for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

  5. 10

    Rub with Garlic

Remove the toasted baguette from the oven and immediately rub the unbrushed side with the cut garlic clove for added flavor.

Assemble Bruschetta

  1. 11

    Top Toasted Slices

Spoon the prepared bruschetta topping generously onto each toasted baguette slice.

  2. 12

    Serve

Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and enjoy immediately.
