Method
Preparing the Gnocchi
- 1
Boil the Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 tsp of salt to the water once boiling.
- 2
Cook the Gnocchi
Add the potato gnocchi to the boiling water. Cook until they float to the surface, which typically takes about 2-3 minutes. Once they float, let them cook for an additional minute before removing them with a slotted spoon. Set aside.
Making the Sauce
- 3
Sauté the Garlic
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- 4
Add Cream and Cheese
Pour in 250 ml of heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Gradually add 200 g of shredded Gouda cheese, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.
- 5
Season the Sauce
Stir in 2 tbs of truffle oil and season with 1 tsp of black pepper. Mix well to combine all flavors.
- 6
Combine Gnocchi and Sauce
Add the cooked gnocchi to the sauce, gently tossing to coat all the gnocchi evenly in the creamy sauce.
- 7
Finishing Touches
Remove from heat and stir in 2 tbs of chopped fresh parsley and 50 g of grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until well combined.
