Method

Prepare the Steak

  1. 1

    Cook the Hanger Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the hanger steak with salt and black pepper. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Make the Chimichurri Sauce

  1. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a bowl, mix together parsley, garlic, red wine vinegar, olive oil, red pepper flakes, and salt. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Prepare the Asparagus Salad

  1. 3

    Mix the Salad

Blanch asparagus in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and cool. In a bowl, combine asparagus, cherry tomatoes, and feta cheese. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice, season with salt and pepper, and toss to combine.

Make the Fries

  1. 4

    Bake the Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss cut potatoes with olive oil and salt. Spread on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Serve

  1. 5

    Plate the Dish

On a plate, serve sliced hanger steak topped with chimichurri sauce alongside the asparagus salad and a side of fries.
