Steak Preparation

    Cook the Steak

    Season the hanger steak with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from heat and let it rest.

Refried Black Beans Preparation

    Make Refried Beans

    In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until onions are translucent. Add black beans and cumin, cook for 5-7 minutes until heated through. Mash slightly and set aside.

Roasted Salsa Preparation

    Prepare Salsa

    In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and lime juice. Mix well and set aside.

Eggs Preparation

    Cook the Eggs

    In a non-stick pan, melt butter over medium heat. Crack in the eggs, season with salt and pepper, and cook to your desired doneness.

Assembly

    On a plate, layer refried black beans, slice the rested steak, and top with cooked eggs. Garnish with roasted salsa, cotija cheese, and fresh cilantro.
