Cake Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 9-inch round cake pans by greasing and flouring them.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.

Bake the Cake
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool the Cakes
Once baked, remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Chocolate Sauce Preparation

Heat the Cream
In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer.

Melt the Chocolate
Remove from heat and add the chocolate chips. Let sit for 5 minutes, then stir until smooth. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
Orange Whip Preparation

Whip the Cream
In a large bowl, beat the heavy cream with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.

Add Sugar and Flavor
Gradually add powdered sugar, orange zest, and orange juice, and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
Cinnamon Crumble Preparation

Mix Crumble Ingredients
In a bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and melted butter. Mix until crumbly.

Bake Crumble
Spread the mixture on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Let cool.
Assembly

Layer the Cake
Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Drizzle with chocolate sauce, add half of the orange whip, and then top with the second layer.

Top with remaining chocolate sauce, orange whip, and sprinkle with cinnamon crumble.
