Method
Preparing the Coffee Mixture
- 1
Brew the Espresso
Brew 1 cup of espresso coffee using your preferred method. Allow it to cool slightly.
- 2
Mix Coffee and Liqueur
In a shallow dish, combine the brewed espresso with 1 tablespoon of sugar and 2 tablespoons of coffee liqueur. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Making the Mascarpone Mixture
- 3
Separate the Eggs
Separate the egg yolks from the whites, placing the yolks in a mixing bowl and the whites in a separate bowl.
- 4
Whisk Egg Yolks and Sugar
Add 1 cup of granulated sugar to the egg yolks and whisk until the mixture is pale and creamy.
- 5
Add Mascarpone and Vanilla
Gently fold in 500g of mascarpone cheese and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
- 6
Whip the Cream
In the bowl with the egg whites, whisk until stiff peaks form. In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- 7
Combine the Mixtures
Carefully fold the whipped egg whites into the mascarpone mixture, followed by the whipped cream. Be gentle to maintain the airy texture.
Assembling the Tiramisu
- 8
Dip the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Ingredients
In a rectangular dish, create a layer of soaked ladyfingers, followed by a layer of the mascarpone mixture. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the mascarpone layer.

Chill the Tiramisu
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
