Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare Bell Peppers

Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook Ground Beef

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain excess fat.

  4. 4

    Sauté Vegetables

Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the cooked ground beef. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Mixing Filling

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In the skillet, stir in the cooked rice, tomato sauce, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined and heated through.

Stuffing and Baking

  1. 6

    Stuff Peppers

Spoon the meat and rice mixture evenly into each bell pepper, filling them to the top.

  2. 7

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of each stuffed pepper.

  3. 8

    Bake

Place the stuffed peppers upright in a baking dish. Cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the peppers are tender.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve

Remove the peppers from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your stuffed peppers warm.
