Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it's hot enough for baking the muffins.

  2. 2

    Prepare Muffin Tin

Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it lightly with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Mixing Ingredients

  1. 3

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  2. 4

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

  3. 5

    Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; some lumps are okay.

  4. 6

    Add Optional Ingredients

Fold in your choice of add-ins (chocolate chips, blueberries, or nuts) gently into the batter.

Baking

  1. 7

    Fill Muffin Cups

Scoop the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about two-thirds full.

  2. 8

    Bake

Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  3. 9

    Cool

Once baked, remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool in the tin for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
