Cook Lasagna Noodles
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the lasagna noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Make Meat Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened. Add ground beef, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in marinara sauce, salt, black pepper, oregano, and basil. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Prepare Cheese Mixture
In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, grated Parmesan, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined and set aside.

Layer Ingredients
Spread a thin layer of meat sauce at the bottom of a baking dish. Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spread 1/3 of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by 1/3 of the meat sauce. Sprinkle with 1/4 of the shredded mozzarella. Repeat layers two more times, finishing with a layer of noodles, remaining meat sauce, and topping with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.

Bake the Lasagna
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Rest and Serve
Remove the lasagna from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
