Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Apples

In a mixing bowl, combine the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss well to coat the apples evenly. Set aside to let the mixture marinate.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Puff Pastry

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheets to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut each sheet into 6 squares.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Fill the Croissants

Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each puff pastry square. Fold the corners towards the center to form a triangle, sealing the edges tightly.

  2. 4

    Brush with Butter

Brush the tops of the filled croissants with melted butter to give them a golden color while baking.

Baking

  1. 5

    Bake

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Cool

Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Topping

  1. 7

    Prepare the Glaze

In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over the warm croissants before serving.
