Step 1: Steam the Edamame
In a steamer basket over boiling water, add the edamame pods and steam for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still firm.

Step 2: Prepare the Sauce
In a large mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, lemon juice, black pepper, cayenne pepper (if using), olive oil, and salt. Mix well to form the sauce.

Step 3: Toss the Edamame
Once the edamame is steamed, transfer it to the mixing bowl with the sauce. Toss well to coat the edamame in the garlic lemon pepper sauce.

Serve immediately, warm, and enjoy your Cajun Edamame! You can adjust the spice level by adding more cayenne pepper if desired.
