Latte Preparation
1. Brew the Espresso
Brew a shot of espresso using your espresso machine or stovetop espresso maker.
2. Steam the Milk
Using a steam wand or milk frother, steam the milk until it reaches around 150°F (65°C) and has a velvety texture.
3. Combine Espresso and Milk
Pour the brewed espresso into a large cup and slowly add the steamed milk, holding back the foam with a spoon.
4. Add Milk Foam
Spoon a layer of milk foam on top of the latte.
5. Sweeten (Optional)
Stir in sugar or vanilla syrup to taste, if desired.
6. Serve
