Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Thinly slice the onions and set aside. Rinse the beef liver under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Cut the liver into 1-inch strips.

  2. 2

    Season the Liver

In a bowl, combine the beef liver strips with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well to ensure the liver is evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Cook the Onions

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they are golden brown and caramelized, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the onions from the skillet and set aside.

  4. 4

    Grill the Liver

In the same skillet, increase the heat to medium-high. Add the seasoned beef liver strips and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through. Do not overcook to avoid toughness.

  5. 5

    Combine and Serve

Return the caramelized onions to the skillet with the liver and stir to combine. Serve the grilled liver and onions hot with rolls on the side.
