For Cooking

Method

Prepare the Filling

  1. 1

    Chop Fresno Peppers

Remove the stems from the Fresno peppers, slice them in half, and remove the seeds. Finely chop the peppers.

  2. 2

    Mix the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped Fresno peppers, cream cheese, sweet chili sauce, and lime juice. Mix until smooth and well-combined.

Assemble the Wontons

  1. 3

    Prepare the Wonton Wrappers

Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Keep a small bowl of water nearby.

  2. 4

    Fill the Wontons

Place about 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Use your finger or a brush to moisten the edges with water, then fold the wrapper over to form a triangle. Press the edges firmly to seal.

Cook the Wontons

  1. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a large frying pan or deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  2. 6

    Fry the Wontons

Carefully add the wontons to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.

  3. 7

    Drain and Serve

Once cooked, remove the wontons from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Serve warm with additional sweet chili sauce and lime wedges on the side.
