Gnocchi and Sauce
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Start by gathering all ingredients. Chop the bacon into small pieces and mince the garlic. Slice the green onions, separating the white and green parts.
- 2
Cook the Bacon
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the grease in the skillet.
- 3
Sauté the Garlic
In the same skillet with the bacon grease, add minced garlic and the white parts of the green onions. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, stirring frequently.
- 4
Cook the Gnocchi
Add the gnocchi to the skillet and cook according to package instructions, usually about 3-5 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure the gnocchi are evenly cooked.
- 5
Prepare the Gorgonzola Cream Sauce
Pour in the heavy cream and add the Gorgonzola cheese to the skillet. Stir well to combine and allow the cheese to melt, creating a creamy sauce. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 6
Combine Ingredients
Add the cooked bacon back into the skillet and mix well. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- 7
Garnish and Serve
Remove from heat and garnish with the green parts of the green onions. Optionally, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
