Method
Prepare the Coffee
- 1
Brew Espresso
Brew 1 cup of strong espresso coffee and allow it to cool. If desired, mix in the coffee liqueur for added flavor.
Make the Mascarpone Mixture
- 2
Whisk Egg Yolks and Sugar
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 3 egg yolks and 100g of granulated sugar until the mixture is pale and fluffy.
- 3
Add Mascarpone and Vanilla
Add the 500g of mascarpone cheese and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the egg yolk mixture. Mix gently until combined and smooth.
- 4
Whip the Cream
In a separate bowl, whip 200ml of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Then, fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture gently to keep it airy.
Assemble the Tiramisu
- 5
Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

In a rectangular dish, place a layer of dipped ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture on top. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
