Ranch Dressing
Method
Prepare the Wings
- 1
Clean the Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Add the chicken wings and toss them until they are evenly coated with the seasoning.
Fry the Wings
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large, heavy pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Wings
Carefully add a batch of seasoned wings to the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 8-10 minutes or until the wings are golden brown and crispy. Remove them with a slotted spoon and let them drain on paper towels.
- 5
Repeat
Continue frying the remaining wings in batches until all are cooked.
Make the Ranch Dressing
- 6
Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, garlic powder, dried dill, salt, and black pepper until smooth and well blended.
- 7
Chill
Cover the ranch dressing and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.
Serve
- 8
Plate the Wings
Arrange the crispy wings on a serving platter.
- 9
Add Ranch Dressing
Serve with a side of chilled ranch dressing for dipping.
