Method
Preparation for Classic Hot and Spicy Wings
- 1
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures that the wings cook evenly and get crispy.
- 2
Prepare the Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This helps to remove excess moisture for crispier wings.
- 3
Make the Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the hot sauce and unsalted butter. Stir until the butter is melted and the mixture is well combined. Add garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and set aside.
- 4
Coat the Wings
In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with the prepared hot sauce mixture until they are evenly coated.
- 5
Bake the Wings
Spread the coated wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through until they are crispy and cooked through.
