Method

Burger Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a large bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the beef into two equal portions and shape them into patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to melt the cheese.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the cheese is melting, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer lettuce, the cooked patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, onion slices, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

Fries Directions

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips for frying.

  2. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, frying them until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 9

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with salt to taste while they are still hot.
