Burger Patties

Toppings

Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Cook Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of pepper jack cheese on top. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the burgers are cooked to your desired doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 4

    Prepare Toppings

While the patties are cooking, wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Slice the tomato into thick slices.

  2. 5

    Assemble Burger

Once the patties are cooked, toast the burger buns if desired. On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, and a generous amount of pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

  3. 6

    Serve

Serve the burgers immediately with your favorite sides, such as fries or a salad.
