Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the fettuccine

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Chicken Preparation

  1. 2

    Grill the chicken

While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a grill pan over medium-high heat. Season chicken breasts with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side or until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from heat, let rest for 5 minutes, then slice into strips.

Alfredo Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Alfredo sauce

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add a pinch of nutmeg, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.

Combine and Serve

  1. 4

    Combine all components

Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. Place the sliced grilled chicken on top. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
