Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the NY Strip and Filet Mignon steaks.

  2. 2

    Sear the Steaks

Heat a pan over high heat, add olive oil, and sear the steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.

  3. 3

    Melt Gruyere Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place Gruyere cheese on top of each steak to melt.

  4. 4

    Prepare Potatoes

Peel and cut potatoes into quarters, then boil in salted water until tender.

  5. 5

    Make Gratin

Mash the boiled potatoes, mix with cream, season with salt, and pour into a baking dish. Top with additional Gruyere cheese and bake until golden.

  6. 6

    Sauté Broccolini and Onions

In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté broccolini and pearl onions until tender, about 5-7 minutes.

  7. 7

    Sauté Wild Mushrooms

In the same skillet, add wild mushrooms and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

  8. 8

    Serve

Plate the steaks with potatoes gratin, sautéed broccolini, pearl onions, and wild mushrooms. Drizzle with Bordelaise sauce.
