Method

Preparation of Lemonade Base

  1. 1

    Make Simple Syrup

In a medium-sized saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar completely dissolves. This creates a simple syrup.

  2. 2

    Cool the Syrup

Remove from heat and allow the simple syrup to cool to room temperature.

  3. 3

    Combine Lemonade Ingredients

In a large pitcher, mix the cooled simple syrup, 1 cup of fresh lemon juice, and 2 cups of water. Stir well to combine.

Adding Pomegranate and Mint

  1. 4

    Incorporate Pomegranate Juice

Pour in 1 cup of pomegranate juice into the lemonade mixture and stir until well combined.

  2. 5

    Muddle Mint

Add 1 cup of fresh mint leaves into the pitcher. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently press the mint leaves to release their flavor into the lemonade.

Freezing and Serving

  1. 6

    Blend Lemonade

Fill your blender with the lemonade mixture, and add 3 cups of ice cubes. Blend until smooth and slushy.

  2. 7

    Serve and Garnish

Pour the frozen pomegranate mint lemonade into glasses, and garnish each with fresh pomegranate seeds on top.
