Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Caramelize the Onions

Slice the onion thinly and sauté in a skillet over medium heat with a tablespoon of oil. Stir occasionally until golden brown and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Shape the ground Angus beef into two 4-ounce patties. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip and add a slice of American cheese on each patty. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.

  3. 3

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the brioche buns and toast them lightly on the grill or in a skillet until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burgers

Spread a generous amount of fry sauce on the bottom bun. Layer with lettuce, the cooked patty with melted cheese, caramelized onions, tomato slices, pickles, and finally the top bun.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve each burger alongside a portion of fries. Enjoy your Granary Smash Burger!
