Start by selecting a whiskey glass or an old-fashioned glass. Make sure it is clean and dry.

Add Ingredients
Pour 2 oz of whiskey into the glass. Then add 0.5 oz of simple syrup to the whiskey.

Add Bitters
Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters to the mixture in the glass.

Stir the Mixture
Using a bar spoon or a regular spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 10-15 seconds to combine the ingredients.

Garnish with Orange Peel
Take a piece of orange peel and twist it over the drink to release the oils, then drop it into the glass as a garnish.

If desired, add an ice ball to the glass for an extra $3 to chill the drink without diluting it quickly.
