Prepare the Glass
Begin by chilling a cocktail glass or whiskey tumbler. You can do this by filling it with ice water and setting it aside while you prepare the drink.
Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing glass, add 2 cups of rye whiskey, 1 cup of sweet vermouth, and 1 tsp of Angostura bitters.
Add Ice
Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes (about 1 cup) and stir gently for about 30 seconds until the mixture is well chilled.
Prepare the Glass Again
