Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Meatballs
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, grated parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- 2
Shape the Meatballs
Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 3
Cook in the Wood-Fired Oven
Preheat your wood-fired oven to about 450°F (232°C). Place the meatballs in the oven and cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until they are fully cooked and browned on the outside.
- 4
Prepare the Marinara Sauce
While the meatballs are cooking, heat your favorite marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
- 5
Serve
Once the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven and serve them topped with marinara sauce, dollops of ricotta cheese, and fresh basil. Accompany with crostini for dipping.
