Directions
- 1
Prepare the Balsamic Reduction
In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer until it thickens and reduces to about 1/4 cup, approximately 15-20 minutes. Set aside to cool.
- 2
Make the Herbed Ricotta
In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until smooth. Fold in the fresh basil leaves, reserving a few for garnish.
- 3
Prepare the Baguette
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette on a diagonal into 1/2 inch slices. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and bake for about 5-7 minutes, or until lightly toasted.
- 4
Assemble the Bruschetta
Spread a generous amount of herbed ricotta on each toasted baguette slice. Drizzle with the balsamic reduction and garnish with remaining fresh basil leaves.
