Tuna Preparation

    Season the Tuna

    Rub the sushi-grade tuna fillets with the blackening spice evenly on both sides.

    Heat the Oil

    In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

    Sear the Tuna

    Add the seasoned tuna fillets to the skillet and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time based on your preferred doneness.

    Rest the Tuna

    Remove the tuna from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Sandwich Assembly

    Prepare the Bun

    Slice the coca buns in halves and toast them lightly if desired.

    On the bottom half of each bun, layer a handful of arugula followed by sliced tomatoes, kimchi, and sliced avocado.
