Method

Preparing Cheese Sticks

  1. 1

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate shallow bowls, set up your breading station: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Bread the Cheese Sticks

Take each mozzarella cheese stick, coat it in flour, dip it in the beaten eggs, and then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere. Repeat for all cheese sticks.

  3. 3

    Chill the Cheese Sticks

Place the breaded cheese sticks on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 30 minutes. This helps them hold their shape during frying.

Frying Cheese Sticks

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 5

    Fry the Cheese Sticks

Carefully drop a few cheese sticks into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown, turning occasionally.

  3. 6

    Drain and Cool

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried cheese sticks and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Continue frying the remaining cheese sticks.

Preparing Dipping Sauce

  1. 7

    Mix the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine the marinara sauce, olive oil, dried oregano, and salt to taste. Stir well to mix all ingredients.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve Hot

Serve the mozzarella sticks hot with the marinara dipping sauce on the side.
