Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Chill the Champagne

Place the bottle of Champagne or sparkling wine in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving, or on ice for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Juicing the Oranges

If using fresh oranges, cut them in half and juice them until you have 2 cups of fresh orange juice. Strain to remove any pulp if desired.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Garnish

Slice the whole fresh orange into thin rounds or wedges for garnish.

Mixing

  1. 4

    Combine the Ingredients

In a champagne flute, pour 1 part fresh orange juice to 2 parts Champagne or sparkling wine. For example, pour 1/3 cup of orange juice followed by 2/3 cup of Champagne.

  2. 5

    Add Optional Ingredients

If using grenadine, add 1 tablespoon to the glass for a hint of sweetness. For a Bellini variation, replace some of the orange juice with peach puree.

  3. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with the orange slice or wedge on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately and enjoy your Mimosas!
