Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the beef into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the thick-cut bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Cook the Beef Patties

In the same skillet, cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Toast the Burger Buns

While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns in the same skillet until golden brown.

Pickle Aioli Preparation

  1. 5

    Make the Aioli

In a food processor, combine the mayonnaise, dill pickles, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth and well combined.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a beef patty. Top each patty with two slices of crispy bacon, a leaf of romaine lettuce, sliced tomato, and onion rings. Spread a generous amount of pickle aioli on the top half of the bun and place it on top of the burger.

  2. 7

    Serve with a Side

Serve the steakburger with your choice of side: French fries, onion rings, or coleslaw.
