Burger Preparation

Prepare the Beef Patties
In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the beef into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1 inch thick.

Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the thick-cut bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Cook the Beef Patties
In the same skillet, cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired doneness.

Toast the Burger Buns
While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns in the same skillet until golden brown.
Pickle Aioli Preparation

Make the Aioli
In a food processor, combine the mayonnaise, dill pickles, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth and well combined.
Assembly

Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a beef patty. Top each patty with two slices of crispy bacon, a leaf of romaine lettuce, sliced tomato, and onion rings. Spread a generous amount of pickle aioli on the top half of the bun and place it on top of the burger.

Serve the steakburger with your choice of side: French fries, onion rings, or coleslaw.
