Pulled Pork
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Pork
Rub the pork shoulder with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Ensure it's evenly coated.
- 2
Slow Cook the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. In a separate bowl, mix the apple cider vinegar, blackberry jam, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour the mixture over the pork. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.
- 3
Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork shoulder from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix with the remaining sauce.
- 4
Toast the Buns
While the pork is finishing, toast the brioche buns until golden brown.
- 5
Assemble the Sandwich
Place a generous amount of pulled pork on the bottom half of each toasted brioche bun. Top with pickled red onions and close with the top half of the bun.
