Pan-Seared Black Cod

Prepare the Fish

Pat the black cod fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until hot.

Sear the Fish

Place the seasoned black cod fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes, then carefully flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until fish is cooked through and flakes easily.

Serve

Remove from skillet and serve with lemon wedges.

Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips for frying.

Heat the Oil

In a deep pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips in batches and fry until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Sprinkle with salt while hot.

In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add seasonal vegetables and sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes.

Mix Ingredients

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, dill pickles, lemon juice, capers, and fresh dill. Stir until well combined.
