Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Prepare the Iceberg Lettuce

Carefully remove the outer leaves of the iceberg lettuce head. Cut the head into quarters, creating wedge-shaped pieces. Rinse the wedges under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Flip halfway through for even cooking. Once cooked, remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel to drain excess grease. Chop the bacon into small pieces.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Tomatoes

Wash the tomatoes thoroughly. Cut each tomato into wedges or dice them, depending on your preference for presentation.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Chives

Rinse the chives under cold water and pat dry. Chop the chives into small pieces.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Salad

On a serving plate, place one wedge of iceberg lettuce. Drizzle a generous amount of blue cheese dressing over the top. Add the chopped bacon pieces and tomato wedges/diced tomatoes on top. Sprinkle with chopped chives for garnish.

  2. 6

    Serve

Repeat the assembly process for the remaining wedges. Serve immediately as a refreshing salad side dish.
