Method

Prepare the House Potatoes

  1. 1

    Cook the Potatoes

In a medium skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced potatoes and season with paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender and golden brown. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Prepare the Gouda Grits

  1. 2

    Cook the Grits

In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add 0.5 cups of grits and salt. Reduce heat to low and stir frequently. Cook for about 15-20 minutes until thickened. Stir in butter and shredded gouda cheese until melted and creamy.

Cook the Meat

  1. 3

    Cook Your Choice of Meat

In a separate skillet, cook the bacon or sausage over medium heat until crispy or fully cooked. Remove from skillet and let it drain on paper towels.

Cook the Eggs

  1. 4

Cook the Eggs to Your Preference

In the same skillet used for the meat, add 1 tbsp of butter. Crack the eggs into the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes for sunny side up, or flip for over-easy, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.

Plate the Dish

  1. 5

    Serve

On a plate, serve the cooked eggs next to the crispy meat, and either the house potatoes or gouda grits. Enjoy your meal!
