Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and dry the mixed greens. Halve the cherry tomatoes, slice the cucumber, and thinly slice the red onion.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Salad Base

In a large salad bowl, combine the mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion. Toss gently to combine.

Protein Preparation

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet, crumble, and set aside.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Portobello Mushrooms

In the same skillet with the bacon drippings, add the portobello mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  3. 5

    Prepare the Eggs and Chicken

Peel and quarter the hard-boiled eggs. Chop the boiled ham and roasted chicken into bite-sized pieces.

  4. 6

    Combine Proteins

Add the crumbled bacon, sautéed portobello mushrooms, chopped ham, chicken, and quartered eggs to the salad bowl.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 7

    Make the Dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 8

    Dress the Salad

Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat all ingredients evenly.

Final Touches
