Method

Prepare Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick.

Cook Mushroom Topping

  1. 3

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. 4

    Add Garlic and Soy Sauce

Add minced garlic and soy sauce to the skillet. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until mushrooms are tender and slightly caramelized. Remove from heat.

Cook Burger Patties

  1. 5

    Preheat Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 6

    Cook the Patties

Place the burger patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

  3. 7

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each patty. Cover with a lid to melt the cheese.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 8

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 9

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted cheese, sautéed mushrooms, a slice of tomato, and your preferred condiments (ketchup and mustard). Top with the other half of the bun.
