Muffin Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it's ready for baking the muffins.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk them together until well mixed.
- 3
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Don't overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- 5
Add Mix-ins
Fold in your choice of mix-ins (like blueberries, chocolate chips, or nuts) into the batter.
- 6
Fill Muffin Tins
Grease a muffin tin or line it with muffin liners. Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full with batter.
- 7
Bake Muffins
Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- 8
Cool Muffins
Remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serving Preparation
- 9
Prepare Butter
While the muffins are cooling, soften the unsalted butter at room temperature for easy spreading.
- 10
Serve
Arrange the muffins in a basket and serve them warm alongside the softened butter.
