For the Hot Pimento Spread

Prepare the Base
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and sour cream. Use a hand mixer or spatula to blend until smooth and creamy.

Add Flavorings
Stir in the chopped pimentos, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.

Taste and Adjust
Taste the spread and adjust the seasoning as needed, adding more salt or pepper if desired.

Garnish
Transfer the spread to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
For the Pickled Sourdough Toast

Prepare the Bread
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Toast the Sourdough
Brush each slice of sourdough bread lightly with olive oil on both sides. Place the slices on a baking sheet.

Pickle the Bread
Using a pastry brush, lightly brush the pickle brine onto one side of each slice of bread.

Bake
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the bread is golden and crispy.

Remove from the oven and let the toasted sourdough cool slightly before serving.
