Sourdough Toast Points
Method
Hummus Preparation
- 1
Blend the Ingredients
In a food processor, combine the canned chickpeas (drained and rinsed), tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, ground cumin, curry powder, salt, and water.
- 2
Process Smooth
Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides of the food processor as needed. If the hummus is too thick, add a little more water (1 tablespoon at a time) until desired consistency is reached.
- 3
Adjust Seasoning
Taste the hummus and adjust the seasoning with more salt, curry powder, or lemon juice if desired. Blend again to combine.
- 4
Serve
Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and sprinkle with paprika for garnish.
Sourdough Toast Points Preparation
- 5
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 6
Prepare the Bread
Cut each slice of sourdough bread into quarters to create points.
- 7
Season the Bread
In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss the bread points in the mixture until well coated.
- 8
Bake the Toast Points
Arrange the coated bread points on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- 9
Cool and Serve
Remove the toast points from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving alongside the curried hummus.
