Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bacon

Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Once cooked, remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel to drain excess grease. Let it cool slightly before chopping into small pieces.

  2. 2

    Slice the Onion

Peel and slice the red onion thinly. Set aside for assembly.

  3. 3

    Shred the Chicken

If using whole smoked chicken, shred the meat into bite-sized pieces. Measure out 1 cup for topping the flatbread.

Assembling the Flatbread

  1. 4

    Spread the Sauce

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the flatbreads on a baking sheet. Evenly spread 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce on each flatbread.

  2. 5

    Add Toppings

Evenly distribute the shredded smoked chicken over the BBQ sauce on each flatbread. Follow with the sliced red onions, chopped bacon, and finally sprinkle the cheddar cheese evenly over the top.

Baking

  1. 6

    Bake the Flatbreads

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the flatbread are golden brown.

  2. 7

    Cool and Serve

Remove the flatbreads from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
