Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cheese Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded jack, cheddar, and Oaxaca cheese. Mix well to ensure the cheeses are evenly distributed.

  2. 2

    Butter the Bread

Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of Texas toast. This will be the outer side that gets grilled.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Assemble the Sandwich

On the unbuttered side of one slice of Texas toast, generously pile the cheese mixture. Top with the second slice of Texas toast, ensuring the buttered side is facing out.

  2. 4

    Grill the Sandwich

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the assembled sandwich. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plate and Serve

Once grilled, remove the sandwich from the skillet and let it cool for a minute. Cut the sandwich in half and serve with a side of mixed fruit.
