Preparation of Tartar Sauce

In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, dill pickle, capers, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well combined. Set aside in the refrigerator to chill.
Preparation of Fish

In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. In another bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, salt, and black pepper.

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the coated fish fillets and fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

To assemble the sandwiches, spread a generous amount of tartar sauce on the bottom half of each burger bun.

Place a fried fish fillet on top of the sauce, add a handful of shredded lettuce, and then place the top half of the bun on.

Serve immediately with extra tartar sauce on the side.
