Prepare the Glass
Chill a coupe or cocktail glass by filling it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail.

Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine the Barr Hill gin, lavender simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice. Fill the shaker with ice.

Shake
Shake the mixture vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

Add Creme de Violette
Carefully float the creme de violette on top of the drink by pouring it over the back of a spoon.
