For Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. Preheat your grill to high heat.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steaks with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh rosemary.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Place the steak on the grill and cook for about 4-6 minutes on each side for medium-rare, depending on the thickness of the steak. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C).

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Mashed Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes. Place them in a pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  6. 6

    Make Garlic Mashed Potatoes

While the potatoes are boiling, peel and mince the garlic cloves. Once the potatoes are tender, drain them and return them to the pot. Add butter, minced garlic, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice the rested ribeye steak and serve alongside the garlic mashed potatoes.
