Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the ramekins

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with butter and dust with flour, tapping out the excess.

  2. 2

    Melt chocolate and butter

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until completely melted and smooth.

  3. 3

    Mix the batter

In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, egg yolks, flour, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined. Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture, stirring until smooth.

  4. 4

    Fill and bake

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins. Place them on a baking sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes or until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.

  5. 5

    Serve

Let the cakes cool for 1 minute. Invert each ramekin onto a plate and gently lift it off. Serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.
