Method

Preparation of Bruschetta

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bruschetta Mixture

Dice the Roma tomatoes and finely chop the basil leaves. Mince the garlic and mix all ingredients in a bowl with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Set aside to marinate.

Crostini

  1. 2

    Make the Crostini

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices. Brush each side with olive oil and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Balsamic Reduction

  1. 3

    Prepare the Balsamic Reduction

In a small saucepan, bring the balsamic vinegar to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer until it thickens, about 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Dish

On each toasted crostini, add a generous scoop of the bruschetta mixture. Drizzle with balsamic reduction before serving. Optionally, serve with gluten-free crackers.
