Prepare Tea

    Boil Water

    In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

    Steep Tea

    Once boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and add 4 tablespoons of Thai black tea leaves, 1 whole star anise, 2 whole cardamom pods, and 1 whole cinnamon stick. Cover and let steep for 15 minutes.

    Strain Tea

    After steeping, strain the tea through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher, discarding the tea leaves and spices.

    Sweeten Tea

    While the tea is still warm, stir in 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar until dissolved. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.

Assemble Drink

    Prepare Glasses

    In each serving glass, fill with 1 cup of ice cubes.

    Pour Tea

    Pour the cooled Thai tea over the ice-filled glasses.

    Add Condensed Milk

    Add 1 tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk to each glass or to taste, and stir well to combine.

    Serve

    Serve immediately with a straw and enjoy your refreshing Thai iced tea!
