Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to form fries.

Soak the Fries
Place the cut fries in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

Add Broth and Seasonings
Gradually whisk in the beef or vegetable broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.

Fry the Potatoes
Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Remove the fries from the water, pat dry, and fry in batches until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

Serve
Serve the crispy fries hot, topped with the house gravy.
